REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be celebrating the ‘70s as the team launched their white retro jerseys today.
The white jerseys were worn throughout the 1970’s by such Rider stars as Ron Lancaster, George Reed and Allan Ford.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase their own 1970’s jersey starting today, at the Rider Store at Mosaic Stadium, Northgate Mall and The Centre in Saskatoon as well as online at www.riderville.com. However quantities are limited.
The league wide initiative will have all eight teams wearing the throwback 1970’s jerseys designed by Reebok over the course of the 2010 CFL season. The Riders will debut their retro look on the road in Montreal on August 6th.
