WINNIPEG — After a long day of rumours and reports, Greg Carr has decided to become an Edmonton Eskimo.

Thursday, Eskimos General Managers Eric Tillman announced that the import receiver has signed with the club.

Throughout his two-year CFL career, both with the Blue Bombers, Carr has proven to be a reliable downfield threat. In 18 games over the past two seasons, Carr has amassed 1,216 yards and eight touchdowns on 77 receptions.

“We’re very pleased to sign Greg. At 6-foot-6 he creates significant matchup challenges for the opposition and we feel the success he enjoyed last year shows that his best football is in front of him,” said Tillman.

Last season, Carr suited up for 11 games, registering 648 yards and four majors. The 6-foot-6 Florida native had a strong showing in the 99th Grey Cup, leading all receivers with 107 yards and one touchdown.

He is 26.
