WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import defensive lineman Jake Thomas, one of their fourth round draft picks in this year’s draft, along with non-import defensive back Dan West.
Thomas played in all eight games last season and finished second in the AUS conference with nine sacks and was named a second-team All Canadian for his efforts. The two-time AUS All-Star played for Team Canada at the 2011 IFAF World Championship in Austria and won a silver medal.
West played in 28 games over the last three seasons at Bishop’s University and recorded 91 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble as a linebacker.
