REDBLACKS release four including Jensen

OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS announced Monday they’ve released four players, including quarterback Brock Jensen.

Also released were three nationals in defensive back Mikael Charland, kicker Ronnie Pfeffer and receiver Scott MacDonell.

In 2016, Jensen threw for 330 yards and two touchdowns on 29 of 43 passing (67.4%). He also chipped in 73 rushing yards on 19 carries, including a touchdown.

MacDonell spent three seasons with the REDBLACKS, playing 51 games and recording 221 receiving yards on 16 catches.

Charland, a 25-year-old out of Gatineau, Que., played in three games for Ottawa after being picked 16th overall in the 2016 CFL Draft.

Pfeffer was limited to only two pre-season games for the REDBLACKS in 2016.
