Report: Eskimos place Bowman on 6-game

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos have placed injured receiver Adarius Bowman on the six-game injured list, according to TSN’s Farhan Lalji.

Bowman was ruled out of Thursday’s contest against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats when he was absent from the team’s depth chart, which released on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old had 14 catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns in three games this season for the Eskimos, who enter their Week 5 matchup with Hamilton undefeated.

Last season, Bowman led the league with 1,761 yards and nine touchdowns — both career-highs. The Chattanooga, Tenn. native first launched his CFL career in 2008 with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. After two seasons with Winnipeg, he moved to Edmonton in 2011 where he emerged as one of the CFL’s premiere pass-catchers.

In 10 CFL seasons, Bowman has hauled in 582 receptions for 8,643 yards and 45 touchdowns over 115 games.
