TORONTO — September 1, 2007, was the date the entire football world saw one of the largest Goliath’s fall, at home, in front of 109,000.

Marking 10 years since Toronto Argonauts receiver Armanti Edwards led the Appalachian State Mountaineers (as a quarterback) to one of the largest upsets of all time, 34-32 over Michigan Wolverines at the what they call ‘The Big House’.

Edward’s pens a letter for Players’ Tribune to the 2017 team who will hit the road and attempt to replicate what they did in Ann Arbour 10 years earlier when the Mountaineers head to Athens, Georgia to take on the Gerona Bulldogs.

In the letter, Edwards talks about the focus during preseason workouts leading up to the opening game, the game and the chaos that ensued after the game-winning blocked field goal that silenced 109,000 Wolverine fans.
