OTTAWA — According to TSN’s Dave Naylor, the Ottawa REDBLACKS could soon get a reprieve for their injured quarterback situation.
Ottawa REDBLACKS GM Marcel Desjardins told Naylor that there’s a chance either or both of Drew Tate and Trevor Harris could be ready for Friday’s game, said a report on Tuesday.
In the meantime, Harris continues to throw on the side, while Ryan Lindley handles first-team reps on offence.
The REDBLACKS host the Saskatchewan Roughriders to kick off Week 15 Friday night.

Injuries under centre have forced the REDBLACKS to start three different quarterbacks in as many games. A week after Harris suffered a shoulder injury on Sept. 9 in Hamilton, his backup, Tate, was injured on Sept. 17 in Montreal.
Third-string and former NFL quarterback Lindley made his first career start in Week 14, failing to generate a touchdown on 151 yards passing in a loss to Winnipeg.
Harris would have to come off the six-game injured list in order to suit up on Friday.
The return of either Harris or Tate would be welcome news for the REDBLACKS, who are fighting tooth and nail for positioning in the East. They currently sit second in the East, one point back of the Argos and five up on the third-place Ticats.
