TSN CFL Fantasy: Who won Week 18?

Loading up on Hamilton Tiger-Cats was a great strategy in Week 18 – just ask the week’s winner, Colby5019.

Colby5019 took Jeremiah Masoli (23.6 points), Brandon Banks (29.3 points), Alex Green (11.6 points) and Luke Tasker (6.8 points) on their way to the week’s best score of 141.9 points.

The two biggest Tiger-Cats performances game from the quarterback and receiver duo of Masoli and Banks. Masoli threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns while also calling his own number four times for 28 yards. Banks was Masoli’s favourite target on the afternoon, catching six passes for 129 yards and one touchdown. With the injury to Ticats return man Willie Quinn, Banks found himself back on kick returns for the first time since June Jones took over the offence. He collected 111 return yards and a touchdown in his old role.

Take a look at Colby5019’s roster:

Green rushed 13 times for 40 yards and a touchdown while also catching two passes for 16 yards out of the back field. Tasker tallied four catches for 68 yards in his team’s win.

Colby5019 went with James Wilder Jr. (31.7 points) as their other running back. Wilder Jr. rushed 18 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught seven passes for 85 yards to give the rookie his first 200+ all-purpose yards game of the season.

Weston Dressler (18.9 points) was Colby5019’s flex this week. In Dressler’s return from injury, he got right back into the Blue Bombers offence catching eight passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.

And finally, Colby5019 went with the Saskatchewan Roughriders defence (20 points) which seemed like a bold choice against the high-flying Calgary Stampeders. The defence was up to the task of containing the league’s leading team, however, holding Calgary to seven points and collecting two sacks, two interceptions, one fumble and one touchdown.
