VANCOUVER — The BC Lions have signed national defensive backs Cauchy Muamba and Mike Dubuisson and re-signed national defensive lineman Edward Godin, the team announced on Thursday.

Muamba (5’11”, 195) will enter his ninth season in 2018 and was originally the Lions’ fifth-round selection (34th overall) in the 2010 CFL Draft. After departing BC following the 2012 season, he spent 2013 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and four years with the Edmonton Eskimos (’14-17). The two-time Grey Cup champion has appeared in 108 regular season games notching 147 tackles with 10 interceptions.

Dubuisson (6’3, 220) will also try to crack the Lions’ roster following a three-year run in Edmonton (’14-’16) and a pair of games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2017. The former University of Windsor grad has seen action in 55 regular season games over four seasons tallying four defensive stops, 14 special teams tackles and an interception. He also dressed for the Eskimos in their 2015 Grey Cup win.

Godin (6’2”, 250) will compete for a spot in his second training camp after returning to Laval for his final year of eligibility in 2017. The talented defensive lineman was the Lions’ fifth-round section (42nd overall) in the 2017 CFL Draft. The Quebec City native wrapped up his 34-game college career with 69 defensive stops and 15 quarterback sacks.
