VANCOUVER — On the eve of the 2018 CFL Draft, the BC Lions are not staying pat with their sole selection in the first round.
On Wednesday afternoon, general manager Ed Hervey completed a trade with Winnipeg to acquire the Blue Bombers’ first round (7th overall) and second round (16th overall) selections.
In exchange, the Lions’ give up their second-round selection (12th overall) and its original first round selection in the 2019 CFL Draft.

To Winnipeg: BC’s 12th overall in 2018 and its ‘original’ first overall selection in 2019

With that trade, the Leos now hold two first round draft picks heading into Thursday evening’s selection.
