Rory Kohlert retires after 6 seasons

EDMONTON — National wide receiver Rory Kohlert has officially retired from the CFL after six seasons, the Edmonton Eskimos announced Friday.

The Regina native entered the league in 2011 with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. After spending four weeks on the practice roster, he returned to the University of Saskatchewan for his senior season. The following year, he joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers where he spent five seasons (2012-16). He played one season in Calgary (2017) before joining the Green and Gold as a free agent in February.

Kohlert appeared in 100 career games, recording 167 receptions for 1,990 yards and nine touchdowns.
