Stamps add QB Tyler Rogers to training camp roster

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders have added another quarterback to their roster as training camp is about to begin, signing former New Mexico State pivot Tyler Rogers.

Rogers played four seasons at New Mexico State, starting 38 of the 39 games he played with the Aggies. He earned third-team all-Sun Belt Conference as a redshirt senior in 2017 after throwing for 4,016 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also rushed for 566 yards and seven scores. Rogers was all-Sun Belt honourable mention in 2016. He threw for a total of 10,372 yards and 69 touchdowns – placing second in school history in both categories – during his career at New Mexico State and added 619 rushing yards and 14 majors on the ground.
