Als release Clarke, Murray-Lawrence as camp begins

Montreal Alouettes

MONTREAL — The Alouettes announced a handful of roster moves Sunday as they kicked off their training camp at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium.

Two veteran nationals were released in linebacker Adrian Clarke and running back Shaquille Murray-Lawrence, while international running back Jakari Gore, receiver Thomas Mayo and receiver Ronnie Outlaw were also let go.

The team also confirmed the release of Jovan Olafioye, who promptly signed with the Lions late Saturday night after his reported release.

In other transactions, the Als brought back national pass-catcher Seydou Junior Haidara, while they also added linebacker Nicolas Boulay and offensive guard Philippe Gagnon to the six-game injured list.
