Sights, Sounds and Social: Week 4

Week 4 brought us ridiculous moments; Joshua Stanford’s ridiculous catch, Tyrell Sutton’s monster truck stick and much more

Thursday | Saskatchewan 18, Hamilton 13

A late Marcus Thigpen led the Riders past the Ticats on Thursday Night Football, which featured Canadian country music star Tim Hicks as the half-time act.

The win restored some confidence in Riderville.

Despite the loss, Ticats fan Colin O’Shea had a typically awesome time in Regina:

Chris Jones and co. will be feeling a lot better about themselves entering their bye week.

Friday | Ottawa 28, Montreal 18

Brad Sinopoli went off for 148 receiving yards and a touchdown, and the REDBLACKS earned their fifth-straight win at Molson Stadium.

Ottawa receiver Noel Thomas Jr. hauled in his first career CFL touchdown, and snapped a pic with fellow UConn Football alumni Alex Mateas, Trey Rutherford and Jesse Joseph.

#CFLWired gave viewers an inside perspective for the second week in a row, and caught Trevor Harris at his finest on the REDBLACKS sideline.

Saturday | Toronto 20, Edmonton 17

A fourth-quarter Declan Cross touchdown proved the difference as Toronto edged the visiting Esks.

The story of the game on Twitter, however, was an air horn that stood out on the television broadcast.

On the football side of things, Franklin had a special guest in attendance for his first win as an Argonaut.

Also: James Wilder Jr. is a good dude.

Saturday | Winnipeg 41, BC 19

Adam Bighill snatched two interceptions against his former team, and the Bombers raced to a 22-point win over BC.

Andrew Harris’s pre-game tweet — referencing a hippo being undeterred by Lions — spawned an in-game celebration.

Lions Twitter, meanwhile, summed up a lacklustre second half.

There you have it: The best moments from Week 4. Be sure to check back next week, when we’ll do it all again.
