REGINA — With the Saskatchewan Roughriders offensive woes continuing, and the activation of quarterback Zach Collaros from the six-game injured list, TSN’s Farhan Lalji is reporting that Riders’ coach Chris Jones is moving Duron Carter back to offence.

Duron Carter has been playing defence since the beginning of the regular season due to injuries in the Riders’ secondary.

During that time, Carter has tallied 13 tackles, two pass deflections, along with an interception in which he returned for a touchdown in Saskatchewan’s Week 2 meeting with the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

Being moved to an offence that ranks last in passing yards, Carter might be the spark Riderville is looking for as they look to even out the ripples in their performance.

Heading into Week 8, Saskatchewan sits near the bottom of the West Division standings with a 3-3 record, ahead of only the BC Lions.

As a receiver, Carter has hauled in 264 passes for 3,999 yards in his five seasons in the league. He also has scored 25 combined receiving touchdowns playing for both the Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Roughriders are one-game into a series of six consecutive games in which they’ll be facing off against West Division opponents.

The Riders are matched up against the Edmonton Eskimos (4-2) this week at Commonwealth Stadium.
