CALGARY — If the league-leading Calgary Stampeders are to continue rolling they will have to do so without receiver Eric Rogers.

The former all-star pass-catcher will be out of the Stampeders lineup after undergoing surgery on his knee.

“So Eric had to get a little cleanup job, unfortunately,” Stampeders head coach Dave Dickenson told media Wednesday. “He did that Wednesday. We’re hoping he will be back sooner rather than later, but he just wasn’t feeling right.

“Certainly unexpected. But hopefully we can get a good result (when he returns).”

Rogers has caught 21 balls for 329 yards and notched 5 touchdowns in his return to Calgary.

The Stampeders next matchup is Saturday night when they host the BC Lions.
