The Canadian Press

MONTREAL — Montreal Alouettes quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. and defensive end John Bowman will both miss time with injuries, according to a report from RDS’s Didier Ormejuste.

Bowman is reported to have suffered a partially torn biceps and could be out for six weeks while Adams Jr. could be out for 2-6 with a foot injury.

Adams Jr. started one game for the Alouettes this season before being replaced in Week 8 by Johnny Manziel. In Adams’ Week 7 start, the 25-year-old completed 15 of his 28 passes for 217 yards and an interception. He also added eight carries for 72 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Bowman played in five games this season and collected 13 tackles and one sack.

The Alouettes head to Ottawa to take on the REDBLACKS in Week 9’s finale on Saturday night, where they’ll look to snap the team’s losing skid in the nation’s capital.
