It’s been 20 years since Jeff Garcia last played in the CFL, but the Battle of Alberta still stokes his fire.
The 48-year-old former CFL and NFL quarterback tweeted late last night that he will be returning to Calgary, where he spent five seasons (1994-98) with the Stampeders, for the team’s Labour Day Classic showdown against Edmonton.
#LabourDayClassic here I come. Can’t wait to return to #Calgary and watch my old team @calstampeders kick that Edmonton Ass. Let’s Go Stamps!

Garcia set the CFL on fire during his five seasons with the Stamps, throwing 111 pass touchdowns and adding 24 rush touchdowns en route to four all-star appearances (1995-98) and a Grey Cup in 1998.
Buckle up, Calgary.
A storm is about to hit Cow Town in a week coming from the San Diego/Mexico border, hurricane warning on Labour Day when the Red Headed Mexican arrives. Prepare yourself @calstampeders @YYCstaffingguy 😂🤣😂😜
