WINNIPEG — The annual Banjo Bowl between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders is the feature of this week’s Pick ‘Em Marquee Matchup.
The Bombers have won the last three Banjo Bowls, and is 8-6 all-time in the annual game, while Saskatchewan will look to sweep the home-and-home series for the first time since 2014.
Winnipeg quarterback Matt Nichols has the past on his side, as he is 3-0 in Banjo Bowls in his career. He’ll be looking to make it 4-0 this weekend at Investors Group Field.
After going on a three-game losing skid, the Blue Bombers are eyeing turning things around against the red-hot Roughriders.
If this weekend’s game is anything like Week 12’s contest between these two clubs, where the Riders came away with a 31-23 victory, fans are in for a real treat.
