Week 21 Fantasy Locks: Go with what you know

Patrick Doyle/CFL.ca

TORONTO — In a week of uncertainty for CFL Fantasy players, the best advice might be to go with what you know.

The last week of the regular season brings a mix of lineup changes across the league, as several teams look towards the opening of the playoffs on Nov. 11.

For Pat Steinberg, Jeff Krever and Hannah Nordman, the best way to avoid headaches might be to load up on Stampeders and Eskimos, who made up all three of this week’s CFL Fantasy Podcast locks.

It’s Triple Play weekend! Set your TSN CFL Fantasy lineup and be entered to win $1,000!

“Mike Reilly is going to be in the game from start to finish, and that’s something really hard to come by as far as quarterbacks this week,” said Nordman. “I’m going to run with it, $12,800 for Mike Reilly, he is my lock of the week.”

Esks head coach Jason Maas has said Reilly will play the entire game when the Eskimos take on the Blue Bombers Saturday night, making him one of just a few reliable quarterback options this week.

Matt Nichols, Jeremiah Masoli, Trevor Harris and Andrew Harris are just a handful of the big-name stars that could be sitting this week.

While Hannah goes with the reliable Reilly, who’s come down in price from his original $14,000 salary, Steinberg is staying with the Eskimos in league-leading receiver Duke Williams.

“I think Duke Williams is due for a receiving touchdown,” said Steinberg. “The final game of the season, in Edmonton, at home — he’s still expensive, he’s coming in at an $8,000 price tag, but Mike Reilly’s playing the whole game and I think Duke Williams is going to get some work.”

Krever, meanwhile, has had to change his picks on the fly. He originally went with Stamps receiver Eric Rogers, who has since been placed on the one-game injured list and will miss Saturday’s season finale.
