REGINA — One of the top free agent offensive linemen, SirVincent Rogers, is heading west after signing with the Edmonton Eskimos.
The deal was announced Tuesday afternoon, after free agency officially opened at noon ET.
Rogers played in 17 games in 2018 with the Ottawa REDBLACKS, helping anchor the offensive line that paved the way for second-leading rusher William Powell.

The six-foot-four, 319-pounder joined the REDBLACKS as a free agent in 2015 and has suited up in 61 games with Ottawa. Before heading to the nation’s capital, the 32-year-old played two seasons for the Toronto Argonauts (2013, 2014).
Rogers was named a CFL All-Star in 2015 and 2018 and took home East Division All-Star honours in 2015, 2016 and 2018. He also won a Grey Cup with the REDBLACKS in 2016. He was ranked No. 23 on CFL.ca’s top 30 pending free agent list.
