The who’s who of Canadian football descended on Toronto this past weekend for the CFL National Combine presented by New Era, and the performances of the prospects there did not disappoint.

Whether it was Queen’s receiver Chris Osei-Kusi ripping off an electric 4.47 in the 40-yard dash, German linebacker Thiadric Hansen’s 38-inch vertical or UBC quarterback Michael O’Connor’s smooth throwing motion, there was plenty of talent on display.

Here are some highlights from the weekend on social.

A total of 18 players from Europe were in attendance, trying to seize the opportunity in front of the brass from all nine CFL franchises.

Offensive lineman Zach Wilkinson — a Vancouver, B.C. native who played his college football down south at FCS Northern Colorado — turned heads as much with his off-field demeanour as his on-field performance.

The Pinball Foundation chimed in with a great throwback ft. the Toronto Argonauts legend.

BC Lions director of Canadian scouting and three-time Grey Cup champion Geroy Simon was effusive in his praise for the 2019 draft class.

New league partner New Era brought the heat with some unique jerseys that were well-received by players and fans alike
