Briggs, De Carlo among six Bombers cut
WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released six players, the team announced Monday, including offensive linemen Chauncey Briggs and Matthew Ouellet De Carlo.
The moves come after the Bombers kicked off their pre-season schedule on Friday, defeating the Edmonton Eskimos 20-3 at IG Field.
The entire list of players released is as follows:
- International offensive lineman Chauncey Briggs
- National offensive lineman Matthew Ouellet De Carlo
- National offensive lineman Ben Koczwara
- International receiver Chris Hubert
- International receiver Garrett Johnson
- National defensive back Payton Hall
The Bombers are back in action on Thursday for their pre-season finale in Regina, before opening the regular season on June 15 vs. the BC Lions.
