Streveler active for Western Final; Whitehead, Hecht ruled out

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have named Zach Collaros the starter while Chris Streveler has been listed as the third-string QB.

The Bombers did the exact same with their depth chart ahead of the Western Semi-Final against the Calgary Stampeders. Streveler still managed to play a massive role in the victory, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.

The 24-year-old has been dealing with a reported foot injury but has pushed through the pain in order to give the Bombers a solid one-two punch under centre.

Collaros made his impact in the passing game, where he threw for 193 yards and a touchdown in the game. He and Darvin Adams connected on a 71-yard catch-and-run in the second half to virtually put the game on ice.

The lineup for the Bombers remains unchanged from a week ago for the most part. However, defensive back Jeff Hecht and receiver Lucky Whitehead have both been placed on the one-game injured list.

Whitehead, 27, has 521 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 52 receptions in 15 games this season.

Hecht has appeared in all 18 games during the 2019 season. The 34-year-old has 29 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions.

The Bombers will travel to Mosaic Stadium on Sunday to take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Western Final. The two teams will kick-off at 4:30 p.m. ET.
