HAMILTON — Receiver Nic Demski has been named the 108th Grey Cup’s Most Valuable Canadian.
Demski hauled in four passes for 27 yards and a touchdown in his team’s win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The five-foot-11, 214-pounder’s major score was a 29-yard catch-and-run in the fourth quarter.

“I don’t care about any of this. I owe it all to them man. I love my teammates,” Demski told TSN’s James Duthie after receiving his award on stage at Tim Hortons Field. “I love them. I wish I could do this with them every year, year in and year out.”
Demski and his Blue Bombers came back from a 19-10 halftime deficit to force overtime. It was Darvin Adams who scored in overtime, along with Rasheed Bailey hauling in the two-point convert, and Kyrie Wilson had the game-sealing interception.
“We got grit, we’re relentless and we know how to finish games,” Demski said when asked about the comeback. “We champs.”
