A video appeared on Twitter yesterday of a young Edmonton Eskimos fan crying over the team’s release of CFL-leading receiver Duke Williams.
In the emotional video, the young girl — Elena Chrapko — says she’s sad because Williams is leaving Edmonton to pursue NFL opportunities.

Williams saw the video and shared a message with the fan’s father from his own Twitter account.
Stuff like this touch my heart 😭 don’t cry I’ll be back to visit you one day Elena🤞🏾@frtimothy32 https://t.co/yygdhxE9bd

The 25-year-old receiver joined the Eskimos in 2017, and set the league on fire in a monstrous sophomore campaign in 2018; with multiple NFL teams interested in his services, the 6-foot-3 Williams is headed down south — but not before leaving a smile on a young fan’s face.
Thanks for this @YFBurnna_cmh you made Elena smile. https://t.co/E5hEZZApIC
