Week 20 Fantasy Locks: Don’t sleep on Sinkfield

TORONTO — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats begin life without Brandon Banks this weekend, but can CFL Fantasy players take advantage?

Luke Tasker, Mike Jones and Alex Green are all names that come to mind this week, as the league’s most productive passing offence looks to carry on without its No. 1 target.

For anyone looking to the Hammer for Fantasy help this week, don’t forget about Banks’ replacement, the electrifying Terrell Sinkfield.

“He’s played in the NFL, we’ve seen what he can do in the CFL,” said Hannah Nordman of the CFL Fantasy Podcast. “His speed is unbelievable. He has a 1,000-yard season under his belt in the CFL. This guy is going to make an impact immediately.”

Nordman submitted her Fantasy lock for the week along with Pat Steinberg and Jeff Krever. Locks, bargain picks and all the latest on Week 20 can be heard on this week’s podcast:

While Nordman is confident the Ticats’ newest starting receiver can benefit from his role in the offence, Krever and Steinberg are locking in on the running backs this week.

Staying in Hamilton, William Powell is zeroing in on a rushing title this week, as he enters play with a 93-yard edge on his closest competitor in Andrew Harris. Powell has a favourable matchup against a Ticats’ run defence that ranks near the bottom of the CFL.

“He’s come down in price and I just think this matchup is too intriguing,” said Steinberg. “I know he’s not getting a lot of red zone touches and they’re going to Dominique Davis on the goal line, but William Powell has the ability to break big runs, they’re using him heavily.

“If Delvin Breaux doesn’t play for Hamilton I thin it opens thing up offensively for Ottawa and William Powell.”

Krever, meanwhile, is looking to the cheaper option in Alouettes running back William Stanback.

“The kid looks like a star,” he said. “The blend of size and speed and what he can do. Just go back and watch his 70-yard romp against the Argos last week. He’s the guy that’s going to be on the tickets next year — if you’re buying Als season tickets he’ll be on there. You can build an offence around William Stanback, look for him to go off against the Argos in Week 20.”
