TORONTO — Adarius Pickett will call Toronto home in 2023, having signed as a free agent with the Toronto Argonauts.
The defensive back/linebacker enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022 with the Montreal Alouettes. In just his second CFL campaign, the 26-year-old had 73 tackles, an interception, four sacks and a pair of forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. He was voted the Alouettes’ Most Outstanding Defensive Player last season.
Pickett is the 22nd ranked player in CFL.ca’s top 30 free agents list.

Pickett took the starting SAM linebacker spot at the start of the season and helped the Als find their way through a slow start to the season that resulted in the team’s first Eastern Final appearance since 2014. His Week 19 touchdown against the Ottawa REDBLACKS was a season highlight.
The UCLA alum has 96 tackles, 19 on special teams, five sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and a touchdown through 30 career games with the Alouettes.
