TORONTO — A win in Week 14 has kept the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the playoff conversation.
The Ticats are just five points behind second-place Ottawa and six behind Toronto for the top spot after a 24-23 win against the Lions.
That win over a West Division opponent also moved the Tabbies up two spots in the Power Rankings but can they continue to climb?
The BC Lions and Ottawa REDBLACKS each dropped a spot and the rest remained in the same position as last week.

Calgary is playoff bound. After a win over the Riders last week, the Stampeders became the first team in the CFL to clinch a playoff spot. Bo Levi Mitchell and co. will head home this week to host the Montreal Alouettes as they look to build on their 11-1-1 record.

Matt Nichols and his offence stole the show last week in the Bombers win over Ottawa – Darvin Adams caught 195 yards and a touchdown while Nichols completed 23 of 34 passes for 319 yards and two touchdowns. The squad will look to build off of their offensive showing this week as they head to Edmonton.

Quarterbacks are still the topic of conversation in Riderville after Kevin Glenn left the end of last week’s contest with an apparent hand injury. If he isn’t ready to return this week when Saskatchewan heads to the nation’s capital, it will be Canadian quarterback Brandon Bridge under centre.

With another wild outing from James Wilder Jr. – the running back collected 218 all-purpose yards to go along with a touchdown – the Toronto Argonauts reclaimed possession of first place in the East Division. Hoping to keep Hamilton behind them in the standings, the Argos head to Tiger-Town to take on the Tabbies this week.

Edmonton will return from its bye week in Week 15 and the squad will hope to snap its five-game losing skid. The Esks are in danger of falling out of the playoff picture if they don’t string together a few wins – Edmonton sits third in the West with Saskatchewan and BC both trailing by two points.

Hamilton has won three of its last four games and it seems the change at quarterback – and behind the bench – has sent a spark throughout the team. The contest against the Argos this week at Tim Hortons Field could be looked at as a must-win if Hamilton wants to start closing the gap on first place in the East.

Jonathon Jennings looked to be back to his normal self last week in his team’s loss, completing 22 of 33 passes for 345 yards and calling his own number four times for 34 yards and a major score. The Lions now head out on a Week 15 bye as they sit in the basement of the West Division.

The Ottawa REDBLACKS will look to put last week’s loss to the Blue Bombers behind them as they head home this week to host the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Alouettes ground game was firing on all cylindars last week against the Argos as Tyrell Sutton rushed for 105 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown in the team’s loss. This week the Als will hope to turn thing around as they head to Calgary to take on the Stampeders.
